Tyson has taught ceramics classes and workshops for the Tryon Arts and Crafts School, the SC public school system, Tryon Fine Arts Center, and currently teaches at Mudflat Pottery School in Somerville, MA. He has taught music for the Pacolet Junior Appalachian Musicians program, the Montessori Academy of Spartanburg, SC, and offers private lessons for guitar, clawhammer banjo, fiddle, and upright bass.
